Outreach activity - Roundhay School (May 2023)

The Leeds Nanotechnology Cleanroom was excited to participate in an outreach activity with a local school at Roundhay, as part of the public engagement activities of the EPSRC-funded Teracomm programme grant (EP/W028921/1). Pupils from the school competed to produce the smallest image of their School logo, using state-of-the-art maskless lithography to pattern optical photoresists. Pupils then had the opportunity to image their patterns using scanning-electron microscopy, and to image the ever present 'fly-in-the-system' to illustrate the scale.
