Winter Training School - Llwyddiant ysgubol!

Our third national training school in semiconductor systems, founded by the University of Leeds, University of Cambridge and Swansea University has once again delivered the goods. Hosted this year at CISM in Swansea, our teams of expert Experimental Officers spent a week training the next generation of semiconductor specialists in microfabrication techniques and theory.

As the course entered its third year, it was fantastic to see how well the processes developed at the University of Leeds were adapted by our friends in Wales to continue and strengthen our training legacy.

The delegates — especially those experiencing a cleanroom for the first time — were fascinated by the technology and asked insightful, thought-provoking questions. All in all, it was a highly enjoyable week, and we look forward to the running the course in the brand-new CAV3 cleanrooms at the University of Cambridge in 2026!
